Preparing for Summer Job 2011

bHello to all of you from Czech Republic!

During these past months, we Youth for a United World (Y4UW) have had several occasions to get together. Towards the end of last year, we visited the homeless people who live alone on the streets of Prague. We prepared small baskets with food and sweets and we sang Christmas carols for them.

At the start of year 2011, we organized a mountain vacation. There we had many opportunities to get know each other and we dedicated ouselves to winter sports. We really enjoyed each moment and it was very difficult for us to leave, however, school and work obligations were waiting :-).

Now we are preparing this year's "Summer Job". We spent last year's "Summer Job" in the south western part of Czech Republic. To help you imagine the plac, you can take a look at the pictures we took: http://summerjob.naplno.net/fotky-2010

The "jobs" were very simple however we tried to do them out of love. During the year we chose a small village where we knew that there was a need for our presence. These variety of "jobs" were carried out during our one-week stay. This year, we would like to continue with another village,

hopefully it could be as successful as last year:-).

However, before this "Summer Job" event, we have yet another great programme coming up. It is the visit of Emmaus and Giancarlo! They will be coming to Prague in mid-May 2011.
