Food for the soul, inspiration for daily living

Since God descended from heaven
and came on earth for us,
there can be no doubt that He loves us.
And when someone loves us,
even more, when God Himself loves us,
everything is easier for us on earth,
easier to understand.
Beyond life’s dark lines
we discern His loving hand at work,
a reason for things often goes unnoticed by us,
a loving reason.

Everything becomes more bearable then,
more pervaded throughout with joy,
if we are already dealing in joy.
Because beyond life’s sweet brushstrokes —
a beautiful love that blossoms,
the birth of a child,
a sudden fortune —
there is the presence of the Father’s Providence.
Then everything becomes possible.
If you believe,
if you believe in a God
who loves us,
every impossibility is shattered,
even the seemingly apparent impossibility
that this cradle, our planet, which is our home
can be at peace.
Yes, everything is possible.
Indeed, since the Almighty has come among us,
our faith can reach even further.
We can believe that if we hope and ask with all our heart,
our world can move toward unity:
to harmony between social classes,
between races,
between Christians divided for centuries,
between believers of different religions,
between peoples of every nation.
