A message from the Youth for a United World (Y4UW) of Hong Kong, China“Hi to all, my name is Chiara from Hong Kong.
On 8th January 2012, we had our first fund raising activity for Genfest 2012. We collected second hand clothes from all the youth that live for a united world. Then we sold these garments at a low price at the flea market in Discovery Bay, Hong Kong.
This activity helped us start living the spirit of communion through the donation of our own clothes which we didn’t use any more.
This time, we were fortunate to have a selling spot in the market that was offered to us by another Catholic group, the Legion of Mary. We are very thankful to them and we wish to say a big thanks to them! Although we were selling for different purposes, we helped and coordinate with each other. The result of re-selling is encouraging. We feel that we moved a step further towards the Genfest!"
