Skip a Meal 1: for the Horn of Africa

Skip a Meal 1 was a solidarity event that took place at Kaleidoscope on Sunday 6th November 2011. The aim of this event was to collect funds in favour of the drought victims in the “Horn of Africa”.

Hi to everyone!!! We are the Youth for a United World (Y4UW) from Costa Rica.

We want to share with all of you, an experience we were doing in the last 4 months, to help “El Cuerno de África”, through the “Skip a meal” campaign, here in Costa Rica. On December we sent to Africa the first part of the money we collected and in the next months we will send the rest.

It is really a wonderful experience! We feel that in this way, from now, we are working and building the Genfest. We are actually building bridges between Africa and us!!
