Genfest in Karachi - 07.10.2012

Today is the Genfest in Karachi, Pakistan. The Y4UW in Karachi received a letter from Maria Voce (Emmaus) - President of the Focolare Movement - and they shared it with all of us.

 

"Dear Youth for a United World in Karachi,
 I assure you my prayers for this much awaited event. May it be an unforgettable moment of light and peace for all those who attend the Genfest.
 I’m sure that it will be so because you are working on solid foundations: your love for Jesus forsaken and unity among yourselves. This is the way to carry out the preparations. In so doing, you are building a bridge in Karachi!
 Let’s go ahead! Keep in mind that every loss is a gain and every suffering that we embrace out of love is a contribution towards the construction of a new world.
 I am with you. I have faith in your strong and decisive spirit.

Carissimi Giovani per un Mondo Unito di Karachi,
 Vi assicuro preghiere perché questo attesissimo evento possa essere un momento indimenticabile di luce e di pace per tutti i presenti.
 Sono certa che sarà cosi per il fatto che state lavorando su fondamenti sicuri: il vostro amore a Gesù abbandonato e l’unità fra voi.
 È in questo modo che potete portare avanti i preparativi alla luce dell’Ideale; di fatto state già
costruendo un ponte a Karachi!
 Coraggio, allora! E ricordatevi che ogni perdita è un guadagno, ogni dolore abbracciato una
moneta per la costruzione di un mondo nuovo.
 Sono con voi. Ho fiducia nel vostro spirito forte e deciso.
