Ever since my sister left for college, I have been the one responsible for doing everything in the house, such as cleaning, cooking and washing dishes. One day, I came home from school and there was a pile of dishes to wash, and I had a lot of homework to do. So, I said I wasn’t going to do this every day because I have my own schoolwork to do.
Then, I thought to myself, “Mom and Dad and my older sister are all at work, and they come home late and I come really early.”
So I thought of what Jesus would do if he were in my place.
I had the answer: I washed the dishes, cleaned and cooked as my mom taught me, and I had lots of time to study.
My parents came and they were really happy with what I had done, and I was happy. I said, “Thank you, Jesus.”
