The
Youth for a United World (Y4UW) in Fontem give their sympathy and offer their
generous concrete help to the Y4UW living in very difficult circumstances in
Syria
“Dear
Youth for a United World of Syria,
Words
cannot express how much we feel for you and you are always in our prayers, your
entire nation. The day will come when this tough war will be over and the love
of Jesus will once more hover over you to transform the dark corners into
bright light; but until that day, we can only empathize with you and share with
you the little material goods we have like the first Christian community did.
Despite tribulations, the word of God gives us hope. It is the only joy we have
as Christians, our only equality, that whether rich or poor, sick or healthy,
in crisis or comfort, we are partakers of the big body of Christ’s family. This
is the joy with which the Youth for a United World are reaching out to
humanity, to build bridges of love. This is our dream, to spread Chiara
Lubich’s wonderful ideal of love by being bridges for humanity so that together
we become a universal brotherhood.
Our
last word for you is that you see yourselves like Chiara Lubich and her
companions during the 2nd World War trying to plant the seed of
goodwill amidst hardship; and never stop building bridges for humanity. Be sure
of our continuous prayers, and we remain specially united in the daily Time-Out
for peace.
Let’s
Bridge
The Youth for a United World from Fontem –
Cameroun”
