Pause for Japan

On behalf of the Religions for Peace Global Youth Network, we, the members of the Religions for Peace International Youth Committee, are expressing our solidarity and unity with the people in Japan with a global moment of silence and prayer.

Every Friday in April, on the same day as when the earthquake struck Japan, we are inviting people to ‘Pause for Japan’ with a moment of silence and prayer. It is recommended that you recognize the ‘Pause for Japan’ at 2:46pm in your time-zone, the same time in which the earthquake struck Japan (Tokyo time). Thus the global prayer will be ‘in motion’ over a 24-hour period.
