Maria Voce and Giancarlo Faletti received in audience by Pope Francis

On Friday, September 13, 2013, Pope Francis received in private audience, Maria Voce, President of the Focolare Movement. She was accompanied by co-President Giancarlo Faletti.

Pope Francis welcomed, for the first time in his pontificate, Maria Voce, the president of the Focolare Movement, and Giancarlo Falleti, co-president of the Catholic movement founded by Italian Chiara Lubich in 1944.

The Focolare Movement has spread across the world, and has about two million members. Their charism is the promotion of unity amongst all people. They also seek to strengthen ecumenical dialogue, and to help any person who has left but wishes to return to the Catholic faith.
